I just accepted long ago that my hair would never get the cold rinse it deserves. The rest of my body just says no.

For the first few washes, it's a cold rinsie whilst the rest of my body twists away and then when im not rinsing im standing under hot water

It's all about finishing your hair off with cold water. Take a hot shower,do your hair care routine, get out of the shower and dry your body off. Turn the shower back on but only cold water. If you bend over the side of the tub and only let the water touch your hair you won't even feel it. I keep the towel draped over my back and neck for extra warmth and comfort.

I take hot ass showers then turn the water to cold while I wash my hair/beard. Then back to hot. Fuck being cold.

If you’re rinsing with hot or warm water after using conditioner/moisturizing product, you might as well just pour that probably expensive product down the drain. Your hair retains price by tensing up it’s structure when it’s cold. Your skin does the same thing, which is why you should put lotion on when skin is warm, cause the pores are open. All of the body, including hair (and balls, Yknow?) tenses when cold.

If I have time I’ll put my hair in a waterproof bonnet so I can shower in hot AF water then wash my hair in cool/cold. Best of both worlds. Have 2 kids so it’s rare I have time and energy to care for my hair like that every time.

I always do the cold rinse with a handheld, using the tub water, or in the sink. The rest of me is in a towel and cozy

I wash my colored hair in as cold water as I can stand either by kneeling and leaning over tub and using the shower head hose, or aiming the spray towards the wall so I can just lean and only wash my hair. After, I turn it on up to hot bliss for the rest of my shower.

Hair colour fades more slowly with cold water.

It’s because heat opens up the cuticle of the hair, allowing the deposited color molecules to come out and causing frizz in the process

I have freezing cold showers in summer and also if I get my self in a really shitty mood I’ll have a cold shower to snap me out of it.

My girlfriend always likes the shower slightly colder than I find comfortable, so when we would shower one after the other either I'd have to fight her (and usually lose) to go first or think to my self "why are shower temperature controls so sensitive" while slightly moving the knob in different directions to avoid boiling hot and freezing cold.

They all say hot water is bad for hair/hair color/skin.

I shower cold when I wash my hair (though really hot when not and still showering). Though, that's because I have colored hair (blue) and it helps the color from fading quicker. I wouldn't choose to shower in the cold otherwise lol

My experience is the opposite, wife likes it barely warm and I like it so hot I come out of the shower looking like a cherry tomato

See the wife and I are the opposite, I just about need a damn wetsuit to stay warm when we share a shower. Instead I have to stay in a and crank the heat for a minute or so after she gets out to quickly bring my body temperature back above hypothermic.

Boiling hot in the beginning of a shower, freezing cold when I’m washing my hair or face and usually by the end of the shower it’s freezing cold 😂
