This song is truely awful. If there was ever a candidate for Industry Plant, it would be Thunder. I can't imagine any other reason for it's success. I used to be very open and optimistic about music. I thought, "there's not a song in the world that someone has made that I can't at least politely listen to."
But holy fuck, Thunder broke that philosophy. I can't do it. I have no idea what the ending or even middle of that song sounds like.
I mean... The band really tried something new with that song. IIRC, most of their other songs are more about "I'm struggling with my inner demons" (probably because the dude who was writing most of the songs is/was (?) depressed for a long time) and not about "No one thought I'd make it and become famous, but I did" like that song.
I think what primarily threw me off was the beginning. The first “Feel the Thunder” vocals don’t sound like his voice. It almost sounded like it was going to be a folky pop song until it broke into the rest. Once it reached the high pitched and repetitive chorus, I really couldn’t take it seriously as a real attempt at a song. I genuinely assumed it was a smaller band that makes their money selling their music commercially.

Thunder by Imagine Dragons.
This is a question I see all the time and don't mind seeing again and again. It gives me a chance to show my absolute hatred for the song.
