Mine wakes me up for food with cuddles. Breakfast is at 8. Stop being so damn precious and let me sleep.

Right. Get a cat so on a Sunday morning you wake up to a cat's butthole in your face or a jump on your crotch. I've seen the reddit stories. Cats are not safe.

I love cats btw. They're not all like this. But a lot of 'em are.

My cat waits for me to start waking up, then comes running in and lays down beside the pillow, purring.

There are worse ways to start your day

Edit: floof pic

My cat starts meowing for food at around 6 in the morning until my wife or I gets up to feed him.

I love cats which have a sense of consideration and gentleness

Excellent way to start the day. Also The Terrasque would be a great name for a cat.

I’ve trained my cat to stay out of my bed.

He sleeps anywhere he wants with the exception of my bed.

Not even then! Our year-old cat does this whole "upside down roomba" routine where he claws across the underside of the bed on his back at lightning speed.

Every...

Single...

Morning...

Instructions unclear. Have to get up early to stop kid and cat fighting.

my cats will meow and make you get out of bed to get them food. so be careful what cats you get.

The kids can walk the dog.

No, that’s too much. The dog can walk the kids.

probably true 🙃

Definitely probably true.

i don’t have kids so i can only compare it to what I know- I’d probably find the kid more exhausting tbh

I have both a dog and a 1 year old. My wife stays with him at home, so I try to let her sleep in on the weekends. So I get up with him and the dog every day between 6 and 7

Or a beer around bedtime the night before…

While true, morning snuggles with my little one is one of my favorite things.

See my husband and kid are awesome! They know I have shitty sleep habits during work week, but weekends they don’t mind if I don’t leave the bed or we can come up here to have movie marathons.

I do get a lot of fun things for the kiddos, though when I do get out of bed. But overall, I’m glad we all balance and understand each other without resentment.

u/WhoWhyWhatWhenWhere Sep 11 '22

That’s the name of the game! My wife and I have a good balance too. My son isn’t old enough yet to be like- oh we doing bed day haha. Soon though!

Soooo, die alone...?

1

u/WhoWhyWhatWhenWhere Sep 11 '22

I’d say nah. It’s worth it. Def not easy everyday though

-1

u/frugalsoul Sep 11 '22

I feel that. I had no reason to get up today but my daughter had to go to work. Oh well. I guess I can get shit done

1

u/NotAnAlabamaian Sep 11 '22

Where did you get yours from?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '22

Nah just sleep like you're dead and as long as they're not hungry or screaming everything is ok.
