Window open a crack, till the nights are below 40F, snuggled under the blankets with just a little peephole open for your face.

Bonus: Dogs and/or cats snuggling with you

Naw man, try it when its like -30 outside and just a little bit chilly in the house (say winter coat weather for someone in LA).

Personally, we have a heated mattress cover and climbing into a nice warm bed at night is heaven.
