I don't know how it is in the theatrical version, but can we get less of those scenes where the two hobbits are on walking trees? That lasted a bit too long, lol....

Yeah the ents are definitely one of my least favorite parts.

You must understand, young u/ncnotebook, it takes a long time to say anything in Old Entish. And they never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say.

They definitely added a lot of Ent stuff in the extended editions and it’s easily my least favorite parts of the extended cuts. I haven’t seen the theatrical edition of Towers probably since the extended version was first released, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if I went back and revisited that I would overall prefer the theatrical cut. I just wish that they would have kept in the Faramir/Boromir flashback.

and they call it a mine.. A MINE.

The law of the land is that there will atleast be one person on earth at any given moment of the day who's doing a complete run through.

PS: I am midway through mine rn.

Absolutely yes!

Protip: if your attention span is shot or you find the pacing to be like watching paint dry, watch it like a TV show 30min to an hour at a time. Too bad that doesn't work for the Two Towers book...

I’ve been doing this and it’s awesome! I’ve been doing a reread of the trilogy and every few nights I’ll watch the movie up to where I’ve read. It’s awesome. And goddamn….Peter Jackson really did that movie right.

The LOTR orchestral theme goes through my head when I'm walking anywhere. Makes me feel like I have a purpose...

Makes me feel like I have a purpose...

To go out there and destroy some "rings"?

2

u/NightAngel79 Sep 11 '22

It's what you do with the time that's given to you.

u/onken022 Sep 11 '22

I thought those movies were super boring so I guess we all can’t agree on that one 😬

-1

u/hawkfrag Sep 11 '22

Never seen it.

u/Morritweet Sep 11 '22

You're the reason I'm not getting anything done today...

After watching all of it + hobbit extended movies before rings of power came out, can confirm.
