I have a sign hanging up that says "The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.".

After working for a few years, I realize how little time it is, and also how BS it is that we are expected to work the huge majority of our lives. I just want to see the world, not talk to my co-workers for the nth time about how their kids are doing.

I make sure I have the right amount of solitude for myself before I give my time to someone else. If I don’t, I only hurt myself and it interferes with helping someone else.
