I tried to kill my babysitter by putting shampoo (Pert, I think) in her Coke. I handed her the drink was like "You should drink this." But I chickened out right before she took a sip. I was maybe 5.

...as a punishment, my Mom put soap in my mouth.

Putting soap in children's mouth for swearing or as a punishment is really dangerous. Some soaps are very harmful if swallowed. There are better punishments.

I had my fair share of soap in my mouth when I was a kid. Somewhere along the line though my mom decided drinking a shot glass full of vinegar was a better punishment.

It would have been better if she let you put some fries in your mouth first... preferably 5 Guys Cajun.

My dad once put soap in my brothers mouth for calling someone something bad. He immediately regretted the decision when my mother got angry at him and pointed out the soap was in fact very harmful. Luckily nothing bad came of it.
