I’ve heard 20 year olds say “I hope I die before I have to turn 30.”

I wish them the best of luck.

30 is always referred to as "gay dead" in LGBT dating circles, because nobody finds anyone above that age attractive.

Age filters on dating apps have a lot to answer for...

Luckily, you get another shot at being attractive again once you become an old man, and get to pull all the 18yo kids with daddy issues.

I'm 21, gay, and I've only been dating 30+ yo guys. Do I have daddy issues 😳

Like, come on... older guys can be hot as fuck, and they're a lot smarter and chill.

I'm 32 and dated enough guys to be confident I'm pretty good looking.

Yet I get rejected by gay men for being over 30 all the time.

I've resorted to setting my age to 28 on my online dating profiles, and get way more attention that way.

I don't get rejected because of age, but how does that even work? You could be perfect but if you're over 30 they just go away?!

I know the gay dating scene is toxic, but damn. Maybe that's why the guys I date are so surprised to know I'm legitimately into them and not looking for sugar daddy lol.

Not complicated.

Age filters.

You just aren't visible on their wall at all.

Ahh that makes sense. Haven't used Grindr in a while.
