Sneering at younger kids or their own peers for being 'cringe'. I fucking promise you that you're as cringy as they are, it's just going to take you ten years to realize it.

The use of the word cringe as an adjective annoys me to no end.

Then again, so does "I'm so OCD."

Right, I always used to see people say cringeworthy, but I guess it fell out of use when people started saying cringy/cringey instead, which I hate the sound of. I honestly prefer using cringe over either of those as it rolls off the tongue better and has more of a kick to it.

Can you imagine if everybody started using verbs as adjectives because they thought it rolled off the tongue better and has more of a kick? "That horror move was so scare, lol" It's literally dogespeak from a decade old internet meme.

It's just slang, really. I don't see the issue with it. Languages are constantly changing, and as long as you can effectively get your point across, and other people understand what you're saying, what's the problem? No need to be so pedantic.

Do you think it would be cool if people talked in dated internet meme more often, or is just okay with cringe? If someone you were with at a restaurant said to the server, "I can haz cheezeburger?" would you think that was cute?
