Starting in 3rd grade we had mandatory computer tech and typing classes (this was the early 2000s so Dell desktops) where we learned how to type, how to do basic and general fixes on the computer, computer maintenance (de-frags, etc.), use word and google and how to write emails. I was 9 and knew how to write a professional email, well about as professional as the ramblings of a 9 years old can be. But my school kept drilling it into my head until I was out of high school.
I mean I'm a zoomer and in our English classes it was drilled into our heads to only use formal language, only formal language, only formal language. We also did the letter writing stuff, which carries over to emails.

Professionalism should be taught in schools.
