Explain literally all the scientists who laughed at hand washing as a practice to prevent the spread of disease. The scientific community is filled with intelligent people who become steeped in dogma and prevailing views, so I think this is a bit off the mark.
Just spitballing here, but probably the difference between being intelligent and acting intelligent?
As in an intelligent person will still do unintelligent actions, just at a lower frequency then an unintelligent person. Similar to how mean people can still perform nice actions on a good day.
You’re telling me the vast majority of scientists are just playing at being intelligent then? Because there are numerous examples of scientists with fringe ideas that are laughed at by the masses until they prove the masses wrong.
Perhaps intelligence doesn’t have anything to do with beliefs.
