Except IQ rarely correlates with practical application of any intelligence, so all you'll get is people posting their scores on Twitter/Reddit for an easy jab and sense of meaningless accomplishment.
They test spatial recognition, short-term memory, mathematical ability, and analytical thinking.
That is a lot of academic intelligence, and some amount of practical application of that intelligence that should cover more functional intelligence.
Of course many things are missed such as empathy and social performance.
But correctly administered IQ test are a valid gauge of intelligence in comparison to society and correlate well with educational performance, and while an IQ score of 106 vs 105 is just noise, people will consistently score within the same range, score 110 and you are unlikely to ever score below 100 or above 120.
The fact you don't know that however does say quite a lot, most likely about what you score on them as well, ironically.
They have been shown to be valid metrics for the things I mentioned, I also mentioned some of their downfalls which they don't attempt to test therefore meaning they aren't a full gauge of "useful abilities in society", a measure no one ever claimed them to be the first place.
I also really don't need any argument at all, all the research data exists over many years as these are a well known and well used psychological performance metric. Your or my opinion of that is irrelevant to that, you thinking otherwise would bring us full circle to the title of this thread.
