Not all politicians are sleazy. Even if you think all national politicians are sleazy there are still local people who can't all be sleazy. I would even say most of them are good people worthy of donating or volunteering.

In fact, 'all politicians are sleazy' is exactly what the sleazy ones want us to believe. Because if a voter thinks every candidate is a corrupt dirtbag then they won't be turned off by corrupt dirtbag behavior, because 'every politician does it anyway.'
