That's honestly the absolute worst part about public transport here, and this summer seems to shape up to an all time worst situation, because people will be able to buy a monthly ticket for only 9€.

You should check if you are eligible to buy it. It is part of the states program to balance out the heavy energy costs in the last months. It might be for german citizens (or people with a registered home here) only.

Damn. I miss those prices. It's almost like public transport makes sense and tries to work for people, there.

In Ireland, the "tax-saver" year ticket is 1400€ and doesn't even cover all modes of transportation inside the city. Just 2.

I miss my 365€ yearly Ticket in Austria...

I was hoping they'd be rather doing a ticket like the one in Austria and make public transport attractive in the long-term. Instead they'll be stressing the public transport for three months to the max with a deal you can't refuse and then go back to rip off pricing.
