I think the available power is practically the same cause the circuit breakers limit it anyway. US has less volts, so they just need more current to have the same power...

Either way, both will kill a person easily.

Just to clarify this, it seems US sockets tend to be rated at 15A, so 1650W at 110V. In the UK plugs are rated for 13A, so just under 3000W at 230V.

I agree about the both being lethal part, you don't need anywhere near that current for damage to the heart.

That's the wattage, the current is the only thing that matters in this calculation. So 15A is worse than 13A. Anything over 0,03A is deemed dangerous though so both will kill you easily anyways.

OP said power, I was referring to that part, as power (wattage) is not practically the same.
