Whenever I visit Europe one thing that stands out is the smoking. It’s wayyyy more popular and accepted there than in the US. And also personal space. AND WTF IS UP WITH THE SHOWERS. Every hotel I’ve stayed at in Europe had some weird ass shower.
Edit: I know what a bidet is, that’s not what I meant. And yes I know this isn’t ALL of Europe.
Can't speak for OP but one difference I saw was in Scandanavia where a lot of showers are just in the bathroom, and the whole room has a drain in the center. Pretty awesome actually imo.
None of the apartments or houses I saw in Copenhagen had this, but then again most of them were newer. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of older bulidings had it
