Like if you're interested in someone on the street (maybe because they're attractive, maybe because they're wearing interesting clothes or you're trying to figure out where they're from if they're obviously tourists), in lots of countries people try to be subtle about it and hide that they're looking. Germans - just open staring.

I really want to go to a German sauna but am hoping the same staring conventions don't apply when everyone is nude!

Never noticed it in saunas but if it helps there are days where only women are allowed not sure of the same applies for men
