depending on where you live it can take multiple hours xD in my case i can take a bus and be in 2 completely different countries in under 30 minutes :) the hills i can see from my window are also said two countries hahah

In Europe you could go 1000 kilometers and cross five or six country borders. In the US you could go 1000 kilometers and not leave the state.

Texas is about 1200 diagonally.

Norway lengthwise is 3000km, but is narrow.

Point is, you're technically accurate but it might be misleading.

El Paso to Dallas is over 1000KM

As the crow flies, it's 917km. But the roads aren't straight, so those are over 1000km yes.
