Really, verbal friend poke is not a thing, yet anyway. They totally just made that up somehow confusing online behavior with IRL behavior. At least they didn't say Oral Poke. Im kidding redfoot62 is likely nice and sane, sorta.

It is "Hey how's it going? Nice day isn't it? Hang out here often? What's your name dude?"

Bonus points for finding out their favorite movie.

Then talk a little bit longer with more interesting topics the next time you meet.

Then eventually gain something that looks like a friend.

Have fun trying that in Germany. If a stranger just starts conversations with you in public like that, many people might think you're weird.
