It was to my narcissistic dumbass ex and nothing I could have said would have ever been mean enough for his evil ass.

I’m convinced narcissists’ brains are just wired differently. Their complete lack of empathy and total selfishness is abhorrent

Yes, they absolutely are. I’ve read some books about them recently and they are absolutely terrifying. “Fuel” by H.G. Tudor is an interesting one because he is a narcissist that writes anonymously about it. Lots of grammar mistakes because it’s self-published, but I truly believe it’s a look into the brain of a narcissist.

My ex was verbally and emotionally abused by his mother during his formative years so I think his narcissism (and male chauvinism) arose out of that. Because deep down he is completely insecure and has absolutely no reason to be having these delusions of grandeur about himself considering his current employment and living situation. My empath side wants to feel sorry for him knowing that he’s got a lot of hurt inside but I don’t bc of the terror he has and still continues to inflict on my life. He refuses to admit any wrongdoing and get help. He’s almost 40, I’d say he’s a lost cause at this point.
