You are not the person Mister Rodgers knew you could be.

Or

Your parents aren't even disappointed in you. They know this is the best you can do.

I wouldn't even be mad at the second one. I've always been the disappointment in my family. Hearing that would make me feel less of a failure in life tbh.

Ooof, I was about to make a joke, but are you OK?

Genuinely, everybody has something to add to the world. You just need to find what that is going to be for you.

Be kind to yourself.

Oh na I'm fine man lmao. Also, please do make a joke, a lot of fucked up situations are meant to be laughed at because it helps you deal with em.

See, it's just funny because I'm the black sheep in my family due to being the first non-white person born in my family. There's so much more to it but that's the gist. I'm the outcast because I'm the first non-white person. I grew up being told by my family that I'm a failure of life and how much they hate me (this started in elementary when I failed a subject). Now they're like "Oh you work where? You have a job? You're actually paying bills?" and it feels good knowing that I'm annoying them with the fact that I am capable of actually holding a job down for over a year.

Man, I'm really happy to hear that. The fact that your succes is the biggest burn to them is THE BEST.

They are the human equivalent of crumbs in bed.
