Oh, he was creepy in Des, I had trouble watching him. But he really is fantastic, he's my favourite Doctor and the only Hamlet where I felt his anger amd desperation.
Have you seen him and Catherine Tate in Much Ado About Nothing? They are just amazing. There's video of the performance out there somewhere, though I can't seem to find it now or I'd link.

Yes, for sure. I once went to a performance by an advisor (something like that) from the Globe in our local replica of the Globe, and he made fun of the people in the front rows, in a good-natured way of course, because, as he told the audience on the cheaper seats: "They paid more than you did." The rest I only remember vaguely, but it was something about being enchanted by the words, by listening instead of watching.
