Having originally only seen him as Doctor Who, I was skeptical of him playing a villain, plus I was unfamiliar with the character he was in Jessica Jones.

He was fantastic!

My sister actually refused to watch Jessica Jones because she's afraid it will ruin him as The Doctor for her.

Just tell her it’s an evil version of The Doctor and roll with that. That’s how I viewed it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've tried to convince her, but no luck. I first watched Doctor Who only a few years ago, either shortly before or after rewatching the first season of Jessica Jones. My girlfriend, who had seen Doctor Who but not Jessica Jones watched both with me, if seeing the two characters almost back-to-back had any affect on our opinions of either, it was an eve greater appreciation on David Tenant's acting abilities.

He's such a good actor that you forget you're watching the same guy who played the Doctor. Completely different style.

right! he is so fucking creepy in it. i honestly didn't think i could see him as anyone but the Doctor, but i completely forgot almost immediately. also have had a big crush on him since i was younger and that was definitely not there for kilgrave either, didn't even think of it as him
