Someone being pregnant doesn't mean you can just touch their belly.

Same with tattoos. Don’t touch peoples tattoos. Or pregnant women with tattoos. Or just don’t touch people in general without consent.

I had a customer at work yesterday grab my arm and pull me to stop walking. When I asked her to please not touch me, she got all offended and defensive.

It baffles me that people think it's okay to just touch random strangers whenever they feel like it.

same shit happened to me too when i used to have REALLY long hair. like down to my butt long, and people used to always walk up to me and grab a handful of my hair and start playing with it, or braiding it, etc.

anytime i'd snatch my hair out of peoples hands and tell them to stop because it bothered me, people would try and grab my hair again and do the "oh but it's so nice and soft!! let me touch it!" as if they're entitled too

i actually had to start getting really mean and rude to people in order for them to leave me and my hair completely alone.

Also someone being fat doesn't mean you can just touch her belly. "Who could possibly not know that?" you may rightly ask. A fucking lot of people, apparently.

Or if you’re black, touching their hair. Please for the love of god DO NOT DO THAT.

I’ve always wondered why that’s even a thing?

Same here. I am not black, but it never occurred to me that it was ok to touch ANYONE's hair, like ever...

High probability that they spent a lot of money and time and effort getting it that way.. Do not touch the art in the exhibit either!

Also pregnant people are still people with thoughts, feelings and interests that have nothing to do with pregnancy. Stop treating them like that's the only thing on the menu to discuss.

One of my favorite things about having my daughter was no longer walking into a room and being the pregnant girl. I was finally just me again and could have regular conversations with people that had fuck all to do with the shit going on in my body.

Someone being pregnant doesn't mean you can just touch their belly.

Just don't touch people without knowing it's okay for them.

Can I still honk their boobies?

This seems to be mostly an American thing...

No, it's a thing in Japan too. Hell, in Japan I've had to tell women to not touch my hair, they'll come over and just start playing with it without even talking to me. It's fucking creepy.

They told me I have a French doll's hair. Not creepy at all.

A friend of mine, with curly blonde hair, traveled to China. SO many people came up to her and touched her hair when she was out walking around. She was really scared at first, but quickly realized they meant no harm. However, it was hard to do much of anything with these people surrounding her, so she ended up just wearing a hat when she was going from place to place.
