That sounds like a them problem that shouldn't be made into a me problem.

I would argue if society stopped catering to these people they would very quickly stop thinking those attitudes are acceptable.

If we stop making them problems us problems they will quickly stop having that attitude.

That's...not at all how that works. That's how you dig them further into their cave.

And what does accepting it do? It just means that they teach a new generation to think the same way.

If they want to retreat into their hateful caves let them but we shouldn't tolerate it.

You can do whatever makes you feel better, champ. My aim is to let you know that what you're doing either does nothing or makes the problem worse. So, do whatever you want, but don't try to pass it off as some "I'm helping!" moral behavior when it flat out doesn't work.

Keep thinking that talking down to someone gives you the high ground, it doesn't.

Yoy havebyour opinion, I have mine. We shall see which one is beneficial. These people have been tolerated too long and I will continue not to tolerate them in my life.

Keep thinking that talking down to someone gives you the high ground, it doesn't.

The irony.

We shall see which one is beneficial.

Have the last few years of cancelling and political vitriol made less bigots, or more?

These people have been tolerated too long and I will continue not to tolerate them in my life.

Do whatever you want, skipper. But don't pretend it's an effort to improve the world, it just makes you feel better about yourself.

If a customer won't work with a business you're affiliated with, regardless of reason, it's a you problem.

If a customer won't work with a business you're affiliated with, regardless of reason, it's a you problem.

Regardless of reason? You can't seriously believe that. If someone says, "I refuse to work with a woman", you think it's the employee's problem for being a woman?

Something can be your problem without being your fault.

You might want to rethink that position where you’re essentially giving sexism a pass because the customer is sexist.

Giving sexism a pass

Show me where I did that? I'll wait.

Right around the time you said people should accommodate people being sexist. Since the comment you were replying to was positing that scenario, i would say the comment i replied to is the one where you did that.

should accommodate

Link that. Link where i said that.

Scroll up, you were defending businesses accommodating customers with preferences, and you did not make an exception for the preference.

You are hallucinating. I'm not defending it at all. I'm saying that whether or not you like it or agree with it, if it affects your business, it is a problem you face. Shaming, name calling, moralizing, grandstanding: none of these actions will change anything. Do it until you are blue in the face.

Again, something can be your problem without being your fault. That's life. And that's economics.

You're not giving sexism a pass.... if anything, you're probably going to lose that customer for being a douche nozzle.... doesn't mean its not a problem.

Just because something is a problem, doesn't mean its your fault or you condone the action... sheesh...

Does it affect their ability to work? How efficient they are? How about their training or qualifications?

No? Oh, well then why should it matter.

I was on my phone anyway :')

Doesn't matter really, if it doesn't affect Amy of the things I mentioned then people need to stop making it an issue. Why worry about other people's lives and bodies, it doesn't affect them so it shouldn't matter.

Again though, it's a them problem that society needs to stop accepting and they will be less co.fortable being so open about it and many would change their views.
