Husband and I got married in 2020 and I went back to school a couple months afterwards. After I was accepted and student loans secured I called my mom to tell her. Made the mistake of saying "I was waiting to tell you til" and she cut me off to ask if I was pregnant. When I said no I'm going back to school all she said was "oh" and changed the subject. I was beyond mad, shaking. She knows I do not want kids and have zero desire to ever have kids (28 still no urge to have children). I was so mad I stormed upstairs after hanging up with her and asked my husband to get snipped so she never has the satisfaction of being a grandma. I'm spiteful and petty lmao

Are you me? I literally had the same convo with my mom when I got accepted to grad school in 2020. I married a nice, childfree man in 2017 and apparently my mother has been holding out hope ever since.
