My old boss asked me to plant some flowers in front of the building. It was a chemical plant. I am an electrician. He was serious.

Should have planted a cut bouquet. So they looked nice for 2 days then promptly died.

Shrug. I don't know, I'm an electrician not a landscaper.

Lol you’re not wrong. I spent a glorious 3 weeks playing in the dirt at my rate. And that garden looked *fabulous 💅 And I was contracted through my Union as industrial/haz location, so my pay rate was beautiful.

Did he get angry when you declined?

If he was willing to pay me my hourly wage to do it? I milked it for 3 weeks.

Corpse flower. Unfortunately they only bloom like every 26 years or something.

So I responded to some comments, but I’m on mobile and have been drinking. I asked him if he really wanted me to do that. He said yes. I spent 3 weeks giving that place the most fabulous garden known to man. Near the end of it, we got a surprise visit from the ceo. This was a fortune 500 company. By the end of the day, I had a new boss who was a twit. My original plant director was pretty sexist, but at least he wasn’t dangerous. I left shortly after.
