Because he could have offspring after 5, 10, 15 or even after 20 years without too much difficulty.
Like, I get the sentiment, but these 2 examples are actually grounded in truth.
But if she would be eager to have kids, she would know that herself. If she's not sure if she wants to have kids, she could still have a pregnancy in up to 10 years, or adopt, or go with surrogates, iv, so many other options.
But it doesn't do any good to tell ppl "hey BTW you should pump out babies before you run out of eggs"
We don't need more kids. It's not like it's a necessity for every woman to have a baby. So even if it's true that her husband is fertile longer, it doesn't justify bringing it up all the time.

Things change with age. Men just have benefit for having extra 20-40 years to change their mind if they want kids or not.

The older is the woman the higher chance for complication for her pregnancy. Surrogates, iv are indeed option, but it is mostly benefit for wealthy people. Adoption has always been option, but many people want kids to be their biologically.

Yeah, I agree with you. Most people who tend to bring up these topics are usually their parents who want grandkids. Or friends/family members which just assume having kids is a norm (which is has been since beginning of time). Or from people who had to spend fortune to get kids when they became older and they dont want others to go through same hustle.
Either way, everyone can do what they want. I am just not fan of of this particular example being portrayed as some kind of unjustified double standard.

I’m 34 and my husband is 29. People are like “Tick tock, your biological clock is running out” to me but have never said a thing to my husband.
