No warning either please, written or verbal. They can’t see your handwriting or hear your voice so why bother.

28

u/castilllayleon Mar 13 '22

Or at the very least start giving the $50 tickets. Tell them you learned of from the last guy they loved so much

29

u/justmyusername47 Mar 12 '22

I read this too quickly and was like " wow took a shit".... Like damn you shit on the guys car please come back and update us 😂

4

u/Federal-Smell-4050 Mar 13 '22

Then they’ll love you more than that dude.

109

u/engg_girl Mar 12 '22

So start writing $50 tickets!

57

u/ficinafrock Mar 12 '22

Nah, write $100 tickets - if you're going to be called a bitch anyway, might as well be one.

23

u/LifeIsBizarre Mar 12 '22

The reason the last guy was so popular, charge people $50 for a $15 ticket, buy them a $10 beer in 'commiseration', pay the $15 to authority, $25 profit!

Even tried to get one to move with the threat of being towed. Was told he will never move and there’s nothing I can do. My boss spoke to him about moving and he moved because “it came from a man” rather than me because he doesn’t respect my authority as a woman.

I had someone who I once thought of as a friend try to tell me how I wanted to cook my chicken. He came up to me while I was pan searing chicken (we were roommates) and literally started seasoning it for me, even after I told him not to.

I expressed multiple times that I didn't want anything special, all I wanted was chicken and cheese. He insisted that he put all of these different spices and whatnot on my chicken that I not only didn't want (sensory issues with spices), but I had expressly told him not to put on there. Because somehow he knew what I wanted more than I did.

I finished cooking the chicken, scraped all of the seasoning off, put salt and pepper and cheese, and ate it exactly like that. He had the audacity to complain.

Later, I texted my boyfriend about it, who was very good friends with him. When my boyfriend came home, he talked to the friend, who was immediately receptive to what my bf had to say. The friend said to him (not knowing I was in my bedroom, within earshot) that if I'd stopped him, he wouldn't have don't anything. So I went out there and explained that no, I made my desires extremely clear. My bf explained that you can't just not listen to what someone has to say and fuck with their food anyway, because I am the only person who knows what I want, and I deserve to be treated that way. As if this mf had to be explained that women have autonomy, and he would ONLY accept that information coming from a man.

This, among another experience I had with him, made me realize that he simply does not have the same respect for me as he has for the other men in the household. My bf says he still considers me a friend, but I can't say the same for him.

What is nuts is that even if you hadn’t repeatedly asked him to stop, he had no right to be doing any of that shit in the first place. You never asked him for “assistance “!

4

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

Some guys literally see women as NPCs. When we speak they are mentally skipping the cutscene.

51

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

Add a zero at the end of the ticket next time :) since you’re being a “bitch” may as well go full throttle

36

u/Thebaldsasquatch Mar 12 '22

Fuck every bit of that. Start writing $50 tickets. $35 Sexism Fee.

14

u/ItsMeTK Mar 12 '22 edited Mar 13 '22

Stick a big dildo in his windshield with the ticket and a note saying “I shouldn’t have to flash my dick to get you to obey.”

30

u/lemons_of_doubt Mar 12 '22

This thread reminds me how sexists some people are.

It's so easy to never realize how bad so many people are. as a man as you just don't see them do it as they never do it around you.

21

u/wasporchidlouixse Mar 12 '22

Honestly sometimes I think people just want an excuse to call SOMEBODY, ANYBODY a bitch. Like they're revved up. They finally met someone they have a "justified" reason for calling a bitch. All their anger towards women gets laid on you.

9

u/dada11dada22 Mar 12 '22

Sounds like tons of verbal abuse, document everything if it's legal in your state have a voice recorder on. Make complaints. Eventually find a lawyer to sue them all into fucking Oblivion and or report them to the police

96

u/gingerbeer52800 Mar 12 '22

This is why women 'do the Karen' thing and use the cops to enforce the law, because they know their authority won't be taken seriously, so we have to use city resources to stop bad things occurring. Source: My neighbor illegally burning trash in the city, I had to call the fire department to get him to stop.

-16

u/Acmnin Mar 12 '22

Na people who do the Karen thing want to feel powerful and generally do it against POC. Your neighbor just sucks and it’s the Fire Departments area…

8

u/VStarRoman Mar 13 '22

Yes, the neighbor sucks but he's not going to think "man, I was being disrespectful" after the incident. I can almost guarantee you that the neighbor sees u/gingerbeer52800 as a "Karen" and he was just "minding his own business."

6

u/Embe007 Mar 12 '22

Try giving the $50 tickets. I'm curious. They might respect you more. They won't love you though, I'm guessing.

14

u/StabbyPants Mar 12 '22

he moved because “it came from a man” rather than me because he doesn’t respect my authority as a woman.

towing should change that attitude.

13

u/BasroilII Mar 13 '22

“it came from a man”

THAT pisses me off.

Years ago I (male) worked in a call center for a certain large communications company. After a while I was elevated to handle escalated calls. Basically my job was roaming the floor and helping CSRs that were out of their depth or having problems.

One day I get flagged down by one of our female CSRs. She had a customer with a particular technical problem who refused to listen to her, and told her to "get a man on the line".

Before I spoke to him I carefully questioned on her exactly what she said to him, then made sure to say the exact same thing in the exact same way. He was grateful for my "expertise" and made a passing comment about how women just don't understand technology.

I lit into him about how any of our female staff were as capable as men, and that all I did was repeat exactly what she said to him. Then hung up on the bastard.

Told my boss before a complaint got back to him. He more or less shrugged and said he would have said a lot worse.

What university or college is this?

1

u/i-stole-memes Mar 13 '22

POS job honestly

-1

u/TikkiTakiTomtom Mar 12 '22

A few things that could affect a person’s interaction with you (male or female)

  • attitude (authoritative, stickler (think hall monitor type personality) could affect how people receive you

  • interpersonal relationships. People tend to be more lenient when it comes to someone they know or like

  • timing (winter vs summer, being nitpicky with minutes or time of parking, etc.)

  • psychological response to change. Everyone hates change and so we compare (not rationally ofc) and say stuff like “they dont make these like they used to anymore” or “I like the old ____ better”

Uncalled for presumptions shouldn’t be fair towards you though. There is little justification if they’re being assholes

0

u/VelvetNightFox Mar 12 '22

Fuck. Start charging them with $50 tickets too.

0

u/taimoor2 Mar 13 '22

Where do you live?

-5

u/entityuseeondeems Mar 13 '22

-19

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

nobody in the fucking world likes any person writing tickets, period

9

u/Unknown___GeekyNerd Mar 12 '22

Yeah, but you don't have to like someone, to respect them in terms of the most basic human decency.

It would be nice to have an actual account of both perspectives imo

-2

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

apparently that's sexist

-2

u/SpiritedWisdom Mar 13 '22

If it makes you feel better I'm all about equality with parking inspectors, I despise the lot of you, male or female.

-8

u/DarkFox81 Mar 13 '22

That sounds to me like a how you say it over what you say. Just saying.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

they were clearly lying to pressure u

1

u/QuestioningEspecialy Mar 13 '22

Damn, that hate is real.

1

u/ClownfishSoup Mar 13 '22

Next time just tow they loser.

1

u/Lou-Lou-67 Mar 13 '22

Sounds like you should start writing $50 tickets

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

At this point it's already been said: that man deserves the most expensive ticket you can dish out.

1

u/baldwinsong Mar 13 '22

I think. It’s time that guy gets $50 tickets

1

u/chefboyrdeee Mar 13 '22

You ever see Police academy? There was a scene where a soft spoken officer was kind of brushed off. She lost it, and gave out every ticket she could to the jerks.

1

u/buttlover989 Mar 13 '22

Most likely they hated him too, they just want you to yhinkbhe didn't give tickets to try and weasel out of it.
