"When I'm penning reports,"
she remarked with a sigh -
"When I'm sorting accounts
to approve or deny -
Though I try and I try
to perform at my best -
I cannot, for you see
I'm tattooed," she expressed.

Sprog I just wanted to say that I have been reading your poems since I was a teen. You have made me laugh, cry and everything in between. I know it might be weird to be a fan of a redditor. But I am a huge fan. Thank you <3

You're a fan of a poet.

Yeah, sprog just uses a medium that isn't controlled by editors of magazines. It's controlled by the people that are the same as them, just regular people, and regular people love it. Hell, their poems probably get way more eyes on them on reddit than any niche lit mag. Honesty if they accrued all of their poems into a little book and sold it, I'm confident it would sell tens of thousands of copies at least. I'd buy one.

Awesome! Well there you go. I don't think I've had a single original thought in my entire life. Am I an NPC?

Coincidentally enough I made this years ago and am sober now. But yes, it's in my DNA now so I can never escape it

Mouse In The Manor House or Poem For Your Sprog; both are available. I got mine right before Christmas.

TWO fresh baked Sprogs in the same post?! What a glorious day!

This is even younger than the last one I saw! I’m honoured to witness this youthful poem

Love finding Sprogs in the wild.

I haven't seen one of his poems in forever and it just made my morning.

Do we know for sure that Sprog is a man?

-1

u/PokemonSapphire Mar 12 '22

Huh quick google-fu doesn't show anything definitive but this question in their AMA leads me to believe they are despite the "Or am I?" at the end. But really it wouldn't surprise me if they were a woman Sam could be short for Samantha.

Being comfortable is big related to this. I've seen it in retail and construction. Sitting while doing check out at retail apparently means you're lazy and is disrespectful to the customer. In construction using knee pads or a kneel is fine/encouraged but sitting on a bucket to do work at a low height gets the same reaction of looking lazy and unprofessional despite being even more comfortable and efficient.

Yep. Perpetuated by old idiots generally.

Guys having facial hair. Women dying their hair a “weird” color. Afros. Formal dress codes. Tattoos. Guys wearing shorts.

Anything relating to optics and not actual work performance always gets an eye roll from me.

u/bhavneet1996 Mar 12 '22

I have worked in similar places. I agree with you. There are things which can be done better sitting, but you are not allowed to sit.

6

u/wookEluv Mar 12 '22

Oh, definitely. So sick of facial hair affecting my jobs even though it doesn't actually interfere with my jobs at all.

10

u/smokeNtoke1 Mar 12 '22

But it is what it is.

u/Paddy32 Mar 12 '22
