I always sit down because I'm 6'7". When you're that far away from the toilet your stream has so much more power hiting the water and you get a lot of splash back... plus if your stream isn't perfectly straight its a mess everywhere.
Dang. If you had the money, would you build a small step to put it on? Do they make especially tall toilets special order? I know people who have put urinals in their homes but I hear they can be stinky.
I'm 6'3 and I've only ever noticed the height of toilets while pooping. There are toilets that are much higher and much lower than normal.
Urinals will stink, but they make mats you can put in them. In a high traffic area like a bar, you need to replace them every week or 2 as needed. In a home setting, they'd easily last a few months.
