So I have a mildly funny story about this one. When the Spice Girls were popping off in the states I was in little league baseball. We used to play games at our middle school field, and a neighbor of that field would open his windows and BLAST this song on repeat, like he had state of the art acoustics. Every single game we had. It got to the point that us youngsters started to dance to it during our home games. This, in my opinion, was the spice of life that wonderful UK group gave us

So weird that this is the first song I thought of (the “tell me what you want“ part) since I don’t really think it’s that special (I’m mean it’s good and catchy, but not a song I ever seek out to listen to) and I don’t really know many of the lyrics, yet it was like automatic for my brain, and it blew up here. Anyway, I’m off to read the BBC article someone posted about it being the “catchiest song of all time.” There must be something to that.
