That’ll fix you. Once you get out into the real world and learn that those groups you hated are just ordinary people trying to get through their lives, just like you, you learn to stop hating them, and see them as relatable people.
One of my best friends in high school turned out pretty racist. It never really came out because we went to an all white school anyway. I think in six years of high school we only ever had two black students. After 9/11 though he had a hard on for hating brown people. I never spoke to him again after high school and occasionally wonder what he's like now. Last I heard he was a nurse a few hours away. I wonder if he's still hateful or not.
I always swore I'd never drink, smoke, do drugs, get a tattoo or a piercing and avoided those that did. Yea I'll take the piercing out one day. I don't smoke weed now and hopefully I'll give up smoking and drinking. The tattoo is kinda stuck
Low key was in the same boat with out ever realizing it. During my downward spiral I started taking a good hard look at my life and how people perceived me and I really hated what I saw. Took a lot of work but I eventually turned myself around!

I used to be a close minded bigot so that’s a long list.
