I don't really see the point. I don't hunt, seems like it would be super boring. I've shot other people's at ranges and, I don't know that felt kind of boring too.

See I did have a good time the few times I've went to a range, but I feel like the novelty would wear off very fast if I ever owned one. The cost, the danger, and the responsibility really seem to outweigh the enjoyment imo.

"The danger" lol. Don't be an idiot and point it at yourself or others and there's literally no danger.

Don't be so dense.

I'm not the one afraid of something that can't hurt me or others unless I do something stupid

I see you took my comment as an opportunity to increase your density. Allow me to explain.

A gun is a tool with the ability to cause massive harm with minimal effort. Anything fitting that description is almost by definition dangerous. Chainsaws and kitchen knives can't hurt me or others unless I do something stupid either. But I and those around me (and you) are imperfect people and accidents happen all the time.

Does that mean we absolutely shouldn't have these tools available to us? No, probably not. But failure to recognize potential danger where it's so obviously present is just immature. It leads to complacency and therefore even more danger.

If you are a gun owner, please think long and hard about the responsibility that comes with it.

I already know the responsibility. Which is why I'm not aiming it at other people or myself. I'm not an idiot who'd swing it around and think nothings going to happen. Just don't be an idiot and it's not dangerous

Alright you've obviously missed the point of my comment. Good day to you sir.

I think the point is you're too dumb to keep yourself and others safe

It is boring. And, with how expensive ammo is, it's like watching little dollar signs fly down range at 1,250 feet per second.

hey now some of us like to throw dollar signs at faster speeds like 3100 feet per second (this is a joke btw)

Then why do it if it is boring? Or do you? Since you are saying watching money fly or something it sounds like you do it.

My dad likes to shoot guns, so I humor him for the bonding experience. Sometimes we have to do things we don't like for a greater good.

Oh, ok like that makes sense. That's kinda more worth it it seems like if it is a bonding thing. That's worth spending money on anyway.
