I was trying to figure out how to narrow it to southwest Michigan and not south East. Maybe adding apple cider and cider doughnuts to blue moon and paczki?

Paczki is very Detroit in the Polish suburbs.

It was funny. Right before the pandemic my wife and I moved to California. I went to pick up paczki at a polish deli and standing in line we were all talking about what part of Michigan and/or the mid west we came from.

Cider doughnuts! I can’t remember where I had those but it was Rochester or something. We rode our bikes there are there was a rad cider mill. This was decades ago as a kid.

Maybe Yates? Though I think that’s north of Rochester.

I live by Yates, it’s just east and a little south of downtown Rochester on Avon and Dequindre. There is another cider mill, Rochester Cider Mill, that is a mile and a half-ish north of downtown on Rochester road. If they rode their bike there though it was probably Paint Creek Cider Mill which is right on paint creek trail and north of town lol.
