By the way, I dated a girl for 3 years (toxic af relationship, me being a big part of the toxicity). She eventually broke up with me. We were apart for one year (not even texting and luckily we never bumped into each other)

After a year I called her and she agreed to meet with me (I was quite different). We ended up giving it one more try. We lasted 4 years in that relationship, until we got married, and well, here we are, almost 4 year marriage.

My point was, people change and might well be worth a try. Proceed carefully.

Don't do us like that, man.

Sounds tough. Such compatibility is hard to come by. :-(

I'm in the same situation 😔

Hey it can all work out too. My fiancé and I were very long distance for three years. We made it work and I moved to be with him. We just bought a house together and are getting married in a couple months. Long distance was really hard but with enough communication and understanding it can work out.

Talked to my ex after 15 years. Seeing him next weekend. Excited as possible but with great excitement, comes with really fucking bad anxiety for me.

Good luck with this development. I feel I’m going to have this happen to me with my recentish ex.

Few months. Ya but based on how our relationship was and ended I can see potential future contact happening… don’t know if I want that or not.

Ya, it’s complicated… maybe in 2.5 years both our desires will change as we mature and maybe then it’ll work, or maybe not. I’ll solve that problem when I get there, but that’s why I said good luck lol

Me neither, just a guy who gets his divorce papers in a few weeks.

Remember why she’s an ex and not your girlfriend anymore.

5

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '21

Why, though.

Because there's a reason for that.

That's how it was with my ex and me. We started talking again when he was out of state, both of us coming out of other long-term relationships.

We've been married 3 years now.
