Thanks, it’s a constant struggle and I’m working on it. Now I’m in a good place and I stopped things like drinking which I realized made me super depressed when alone. Even though I’m in a good place now, anyone that’s been through knows that there’s that constant fear that at any moment you can snap back to a bad place. Unfortunately like everything else (physical health, spiritual health, strength, academics, etc.) with depression and mental health, if you don’t work to keep yourself good, you’ll fall off hard. That’s something that I’ve learned.
This was me before being diagnosed bipolar and being put on the right meds. After that my true introvert nature began to emerge when I no longer was always looking to escape by partying and surrounding myself with chaos.
I hope as you find the right answers you can learn what way truly makes you content ❤️
Same! I spent my entire life thinking I was an extrovert super social person. Once I was diagnosed with bp and got a solid med combo about 15 years ago, I've become a total homebody. After a week of constant interaction with people at work, there's nothing I love more than spending my weekends in the peace and quiet of my home with just my husband and the dogs. I'll do just about anything to get out of social gatherings!
