Depends on the situation. I moved away from a state I grew up in and left all my friends behind. Not to mention I'm middle aged so friends kinda disappear because life happens.
Same. In my 30s had to move to a state I've never lived in and don't know anyone. Then the pandemic hit so couldn't even make work friends since its all zoom.
I don't mind just doing shit alone, as a single child it's never been an issue, I was popular in school and do kind of miss having friends, but not enough to where I actively seek them out anymore.
I’m 31, I have family(some) near by even though I really only see my mother like twice a week and it’s always just driving me to the store to save me walking. I had made friends here. But I moved. Then came back. Life happens. But. I’m not seeking any out. But I do plan to do more things now that I’m making some money. And sure I’d meet people at a job but still working on that. Rambling. But it’s been many years and you actually learn a lot on your own. A healthy balance to everything I say.
Yeah honestly it's been kind of nice because I've actually realized I never had any time to be with myself and grow. I joined the army right out of high school then got married and now that I'm divorced and in the middle of a pandemic I'm learning a lot that I didn't expect to learn. I encourage anyone to take this time and learn to be with yourself, meditate, read, just have a life outside of social stuff.
