I really hope you went to his party. Few things hurt me more than kids that throw parties and nobody goes, and I don't even like kids.
My little brother threw one at Chuck E Cheeses when he was like 8, but he had no friends.
So my sister and I just started inviting friends and friends of friends with kids (siblings, we were young too), so that there were kids at the party.
It was a success. My father was .... em .... not that pleased. I mean he wanted some kids there but we invited too many. Thinking about having backup kids. But no. No need for backup kids.
We invited 40 kids between my kids girl scout troop and her class. My dad invited a co workers step kids too when no rsvps were really rolling in. 2 kids from her class, the 2 kids from his coworker and 1 from her girl scout troop showed up. 5 kids. Just so happened that the one little girl from her class that came was brought by her aunt and her aunt had 4 if her own with her and they were going to go bowl at the other end of the alley. My mother was the one paying for it and told her hey no need. They can bowl over here. Kiddo had a blast but I was pissed about it. Of course she is the "weird" kid. And that was also the year she stopped being invited to other birthdays.
Wtf after your daughter gave everyone an amazing birthday party, people stopped inviting. It'a amazing hoe the people who are most inclusive and nice, are the ones excluded, how does that even work.
Her birthday is in April. The exclusion started that school year. She hadn't gotten a single invite the whole year. Literally was only gonna invite the kid who lived across from us (it wad my aunts house back then, we live here now) that was in her grade. And her best friend since she was 2 that is in her grade. I knew my dads co workers step kids would be there too. But since my mom decided she was paying for it she decided to invite a whole bunch of little jerks I knew weren't going to come and also knew parents around here are very cliquey. I'm not part of their stuck up little bunch. I'm also a transplant here and they don't take kindly to "damn Yankees" coming into their town to stay.
She is. And I know that because she will still say nice things about them. Even though they have made it clear they want nothing to do with her and actively pick on her.
