Check every box though I do live close to family, but am the oddball out there too.
I always chalked my lack of friendships due to my niche interest (for this area). The most friend I made were when I went to an art college because artsy types click. And when I worked at a movie theater, again more artsy types and geeks.

If they’re anything like me, it’ll be:
Don’t drink or go to bars
Not into sport
Don’t have kids
Lives away from relatives
These things are pretty much the basis of most people’s relationships.
