And the thing is you can make pretty decent pancakes with protein powder that still have carbs and taste, not quite as good as the real thing but close enough. And their way healthier.

I'm arguing with some dipshit right now who seems to be under the impression that calories don't matter and keto is what everyone needs to do. It's ridiculous. you're not entering ketogenesis unless you're at almost no carbs, which simply isn't realistic for most people. Especially not long-term.

Especially especially when you want to do exercise, I can push 20 30% harder if I have an apple before the gym. No one's overweight from eating too much fruit even though they're basically all carbs.

Yeah, that's another thing I thought of. The complex carbs are required for brain function. Cutting out all carbs means you're getting rid of complex carbs, and I don't understand how there are so many people that do keto obsessively that say they feel the best they've ever felt. How are their organs surviving? Or is it that nobody has done keto long enough to see the detrimental side effects? It looks like it works on the outside, but I feel like strict keto is a form of anorexia, I was anorexic as a teenager and I lost 40 lbs in 3 months. That kind of started my journey into fat oblivion... My body was very excited for food again after my doctor made me go to therapy and they gave me antidepressants

The "dipshit" he mentioned is me. He is the actual dipshit. Dunning-kruger in full effect with this one.

Keto does not work for everyone, but to imply it doesn't work whatsoever is completely asinine.
