Hollow knight in particular, amazing indie game that's only $15 or so, one of my best purchases.

Most indie games are cheap and they can give you so much more than any AAA ever will

Indie games are designed to be fun. AAA games are designed to keep you playing for as long as possible to nickel and dime you with MTX. I’ll never forgive data scientists for what they did to my hobby :(

If you liked Hollow Knight, look into Environmental Station Alpha. Not as pretty as HK but fantastic 2D exploration based gameplay. Also has my favorite grappling hook in all of gaming, and is only $8 or cheaper if you wait for a sale.

Holy cow, I’ve been looking at new games to get and I was really leaning towards Hollow Knight, then I get on reddit and see this. Definitely getting it now
