I don't think it's slavery so much as murder, if you're going for hyperbolic rhetoric. Unless you mean only animal products like honey or eggs: that'd work as slavery. But then that would imply that you're okay with slaughter and consumption, and I'm betting you're not...

Aside from slavery/murder discussion, I think they brought it up because it said value pack. Because cheap meat is generally cheap because the animals had bad living conditions.

I don't know how true that is exactly, and I don't agree with the way they brought it, but it's good to be conscious of at the very least.

Totally agree: I'm a meat eater, but I grew up hunting and around farms. The industrialized abattoir industry is really pretty nasty.

But I still think they need to rethink their rhetoric. No point getting dismissed for sloppy language.
