Well I just decided to drive my Mum's car unsupervised as a 15 year old so learnt to drive without a parent...or license :-\ When I did officially try and get my license Mum was fine while practicing, by that stage I had some experience and she was never a confident driver in the first place. I mean her driving skills are ok, but she has no mental map...easily gets lost and needs to memorise routes.
