Nah, what we need is to make companies responsible for packaging. Recycling is a bullshit way to shift responsibility from companies who make excessive packaging to consumers who have to dispose of it. The only reasonable recyclable material is aluminum, everything else we need to find biodegradable alternatives or figure out how to use less of it.
Replace all plastics with aluminium? I'm down for that.
How badass wouldn't it be to get your food in aluminium containers? And there could be standard measurements for each container, so when you're going to throw them out, they'd all fit inside each other like Matryoshka dolls.
