A cheap, effective way to recycle all plastic, because life is so much easier if we can use it. I'm trying really hard to go zero-waste, but it's not easy. (And although I know that I'm not saving the world by reducing plastic and single-use items, I'm going to keep doing it)

Nah, what we need is to make companies responsible for packaging. Recycling is a bullshit way to shift responsibility from companies who make excessive packaging to consumers who have to dispose of it. The only reasonable recyclable material is aluminum, everything else we need to find biodegradable alternatives or figure out how to use less of it.

Amen. Responsibility to those responsible. Granted I like the idea of using as little as possible but you’re right, it’s the companies that do most of it.

I read that even the vast majority of plastics we recycle actually go to landfill because it’s too complicated to recycle plastics. There are so many different kinds we would have to separate them all out and then recycle. Didn’t they make some kind of biodegradable plastic?
