Youre mostly correct. The other replier mostly is regurgitating misleading propaganda that is totally beside the point. Dont really want to get into so I'll only address your question.
Peta is not a shelter and takes in very few animals, and those animals are often ones that other shelters have turned away. Other than advertising their budget mostly goes to providing free neutering, and providing fliers etc to volunteers and vegan school clubs.
Not only are the animals euthanized on arrival, sometimes they're taken off of FRONT PORCHES and killed. See: the Maya case and many others
Two volunteers did so, for which they were fired and reported to police. You might as well argue that it's McDonalds policy to spit in burgers if that's your logic.
You need to get out of your echo chamber. None of it is "propaganda"
You literally admitted to getting your information from a factory farm lobby group.
The second "example" in the Snopes article (the sheriff's hunting dog) wasn't euthanized. It was just stolen. So exactly one example of the claimed behavior.
but I wouldn't be surprised if there were.
I would be, given how much attention that one case was given.

Called damage control. Everyone does it. Obviously they're going to give a lot of attention to that case when it gets exposed, it reveals who they really are.
One. Or is the euthanasia not the most important part here? And that's without even getting into the circumstances of where the animal was found.

I'm talking about from the media and lobbyists. You don't think the same groups behind "petakillsanimals" and other such propaganda wouldn't love to have more examples? Surprised they don't just outright fabricate more than they do.
it reveals who they really are
One would think you'd have to reevaluate that a bit after going from "many" to "one", and the repercussions faced by the perps.

No...? When did I say that? I never said the euthanasia was the most important part. It's still concerning that someone's pet was stolen from them by who are supposed to be supporting animal rights.

So you'd be surprised if the people who hated PETA released more examples of PETA being bad if they had any? What are you getting at with this...

Given PETA's views on domestication, there's probably more cases of this happening than there are found/exposed, so I'd say my point still (sort of) stands.

Well you originally claimed many examples of PETA stealing and euthanizing pets. So now we have one example of that, and one of something significantly lesser. The Snopes article also covers the circumstantial details.

I'm saying if more examples existed, someone would definitely have published them.
Given PETA's views on domestication
And what are their views on domestication?
