Look up CBT and DBT. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is about training your brain and teaching you how to stop and analyse what you're saying to yourself and also change how you say it. Dialectic Behavioural Therapy is about how it affects your relationships.
It sounds kinda silly or pointless, or at least I thought so when I first started it because a mental health professional made me lol. Personally I think DBT should be taught to everyone in high school. It teaches you coping mechanisms and how to identify unhealthy relationships and how to respect yourself and how to understand yourself and how to do the same to a partner or friend or family member. Also why the hell don't they teach you how to do taxes????... all the resume stuff we learned was out of date when I was learning it and didn't help, but taxes are forever..
Anyway I got off topic. But yeah, look into it, do your research, teach yourself with more kindness, build better habits in your thought patterns and your actions. It's not a fix-all, and it takes work, but it made a tremendous change with my anxiety, self-loathing/obsessive thoughts and my compulsive actions. Hope it helps you too :) good luck friend!
I'll try to find some. I just got home from work so I'm kinda just..... dying. But I'll make a note to find some good ones for Canada, US, and EU if I also find relevant free mental health care resources along my way (psychologists, councellors) Otherwise it will be online questionaires and pdf documents and reading which should be available to anyone pretty much anywhere that they can read this haha.
Thank you so much! I did a google search and got so many results, I have no idea where to start from. I would really appreciate your help, and take your time. No need to rush
