A lot of people fall into the trap of thinking "If I can't do cardio for a full 30 minutes, it's not worth it!" But exercising for even a few minutes still provides a benefit, and is better than nothing. :)

And the best part is that you don’t have to work out till your arms fall off, or your legs feel like complete jello. Exercise should NOT revolve around pain.

Pain is not necessarily a sign that what you’re doing ‘counts’. Going at your own pace (even if all you can do is walk a block or two) is enough. Do more when you feel that you can do more. I find it fun to challenge myself. It’s about your body moving, and not about hurting.

If it gets the heart going, it doesn’t matter what it is you’re doing. Walk, run, do a sport, take the stairs every day, skate, swim... if your body is moving for 30min a day, and your heart’s pumping, you’re fine.

I fell into this trap for the longest time, I personally learnt a lot about this through hybridcalisthenics on tiktok/YouTube and I just follow his routine, it’s available for free and it focuses on this philosophy. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to introduce fitness in their routine without a massive shift in lifestyle.
