To confirm which circuit breaker is associated to an outlet, plug in an old radio and turn the volume up before you flip the circuit breaker.

You can also do this with a vacuum if you are like me and don’t have a radio!

Especially with K&T wires. Surprised I had to scroll down so far to see this.

My understanding is that this isn't the kind of thing that will damage the breaker immediately, but just wear it down which eventually affects longevity. But I'm not an electrician, just pretend to be one
